Shell by Emma Kelly

Shell, 395mm x 490mm

Artist's Statement

When drawing shells I am always amazed at their intricacy and structure. To think that some of these creatures live in the harsh environment of the deep ocean floor or a busy coral reef, yet are so delicate, diverse and have such amazing architecture!

I have always been interested in drawing natural history and using a very sharp pencil I can capture the tiniest of details.
